Day 26 - Forever and A Day REVIEW

I had to come and give my take on this CD.. im sorry i didnt do my review on Jadakiss' cd.. i heard it too late.. but since this just came out.. im still on time.. Im not a Day 26 fan.. i still havent heard their first cd.. im just cool on all the stuff they was going thru in the show.. but I was advised to give them a listen.. so I did.. so with that being said.. here it is..


1 Just Getting Started
I thought for sure that Puffy would be all on the beginning of this.. talkin shit.. maybe wouldve had some of the show clips playing in the background of something.. but nope... i dont know everyones voice yet.. but i think this might be Robert who started the song off singing.. this nigga sound like Lil Kim on the autotune.. the beat is cool and smooth.. has a nice build up to it.. the chorus is pretty nice on it.. they sound nice on the harmony game.. the verses are kinda cliche esp know that they aint got money forreal.. so all the shit they talkin bout they driving, im not really believing.. but its a nice song tho..

2 Ima Put it On Her
Its an obvious radio and club track.. nice jumpin beat.. and Joc is on anything thats supposed to be played in the club... I still having seen this video.. i didnt want it to taint my view of the song.. Willie sounds good on this.. he is def a good lead vocalist.. he could go solo forreal... him a Robert... IMO.. but once again.. the song is a cliche.. but i aint trippin.. i could see the gurls boppin to this is in the bars.. Diddy didnt really need to be on this tho.. i wouldda been fine with out him

3. Shawty Waz Up (ft T Pain)
This song is cool.. not too bad.. not the shiiiit tho.. i like their flow on this song.. they ride this beat good tho.. its a song that couldve used a lil more to it.. its really no depth to it.. its just a nice song..

4. Think Of Me
This one is a good one.. i like the whole story about it.. I like their vocals and the chorus.. they would prolly perform this one good.. this will be one of the songs that I would go straight to when I listen this again.. without making this too personal.. ill just say that I can relate.. ill elaborate on my personal blog.. They speak on how a relationship or feelings can sometimes just happen, even when u aint trying to or lookin for it.. and they tell their partner that when they are lonely, think of me..

5. Staduim Music
I used to see the title to this and be like, "the fuck is staduim music?" and then I heard the beginning part and used to turn it right off.. my stubborn ass never gave them no chance... but the song isnt that bad.. im not a big rock guitar fan.. but they use it okay.. robert sounds good on this one.. he got the more rock star sound.. i could see Diddy's weird ass doin his dances to this shit.. its cool tho.. I personally wouldnt say my love is like Stadium Music.. but whatever floats ur boat..

6. Bi Polar
CRAZZYYY.. that how it starts off.. not how I would describe the song.. but of course we would think this would be the groups song to Que, right? but its not ::snaps fingers:: Its about a relationship with someone who flip flops emotions and seems mad bipolar.. niggas can relate... feel me? U dont even know what to do when a chick gets on some shit like that.. so thats the song for that.. im sure the babydaddy's will feel that one..

7 Perfectly Blind
This one is sooo smooth.. on some chill shit.. the beat is crazy.. sound like a Ryan Leslie beat sort of.. it took me a while to analyze the meanin tho.. how can u be perfectly blind? Its about how when ur around that "ONE", u cant see NOTHING but them... and thats ok.. "I wanna be lost in you.. feel free to lead me where u want me to go.. and yes im going to follow".. man.. this is my new shit...

8 SO Good
This song is def a braggin song.. niggas need to let the gurl know how much we gonna put it down.. so this is about that.. im sure they will have fun with this one on the next tour.. They speak on how being around her feels so goooood.. make u wanna just be selfish and keep them to urself.. i feel that..

9 Girlfriend
Another one of those songs that I would go straight to.. if this aint my story, i dont know what is.. its just about how men get tired of being around these fake and phony females.. and how when we find that RIGHT one.. that will stop all the looking and searching for a GIRLFRIEND.. or a wifey? Check for Roberts part in the bridge.. this nigga speakin my mind..

10 Baby maker
Thats a song title to give a song.. bc we already gonna expect sooo much from that... This is a good song.. Good to hear Que on the lead.. I like the way the switch the leads on each song with the different feels.. they did this one goood.... "this a baby maker.. after we leave the club ill make u my baby later.. going up and down like an elevator.." I like how they took the beat down during the second verse.. I had to nod to that one.. this is a def must listen and a def pick for a mix cd... u feel me tho??

11 Then There's You
Man.. u ever feel like everything is wrong, like your money aint right, work sucks, friends aint friends, u go to sleep and wake up stressing? But when u see that one person, it makes every problem go away? thats what this song is talkin about.. this is a beautiful song.. everyone needs an oasis.. u need someone to put u on a mental vacation from all of the insanity of the world..Without gettting too personal again, I wish women new how important this is for a man. If u are the solution and not an addition to the problem, it would make things sooo much better and easier.. if ur dude gotta go to the bar after a stressful day or before he comes home.. u might not be the solution... If ur his solution.. all he will want to do is stay with u when the wall start closing in..

12 Need That ft Jemermaine Dupri
When I first heard this song.. i said no homo.. sounds like something Gays would like to poppin it to.. im cool.. its a bad sample.. i dont like the way Que sounds on this one.. they shouldda scrapped this one.. this shouldda be a female groups song.. IMO.. "put ur hands up"? nigga please.. i dont wanna see no niggas in the club with their hands up.. no homo

13 Reminds Me Of You
I like this.. this sounds good to me.. sounds like a Bobby V song to me.. (the beat and topic) and we all know how much I love Bobby V songs.. this is just a song about how everything reminds them of the one they love.. thats how things be.. when u really like someone, everything will make u think of them.. and everything will remind u of them.. thats the way its supposed to be right.. im glad Puffy didnt hop his ass on this one.. cuz i could def hear him talkin on this one..

14 Your Heels
The first thing i thought when I heard this was a Fasion Show or some type of mall shopping motage in a movie.. this song is borderline suspect too.. I mean I like the chorus but the words are kinda gay.. like when they say "DIVA.. DIVA".. they sang it like the gay dude that was on making the band with Danity Kane.. i know you remember their gayass den mother.. that always yelled out "DIVVVAAAASSS".. yeah.. like that.. but this song sound like a fashion show forreal.. def skip worthy..

15 Truth is a Lie
This is a song about a man scorned.. He speaks on how he was a sucka for love..and how the chick knew it and took advantage.. Once he got aware of it.. he knew that he couldnt take it no more.. he figures that everything that he thought was the truth, was a lie.. aint that a bitch tho.. That will mess a good man up.. truthfully, this be happening.. so ladies dont do it.. u gonna mess these good men up..


So thats the whole cd.. like I always say, listen to the cd while reading this and tell me if u feel me.. im still kinda up in the air on this one.. i APPROVE it.. i just dont know how long will I or if i will ike this more later.. it could go either way.. it make me wanna watch the show closer so i can see them make these songs.. I was really surprised that I would actually like it this much... i give the cd a 7.5 out of 10.. thats not a bad grade.. thats really a lot better than I thought.. SO i would tell everyone to at least download it and get your own opinion on it..

Album Review: Slim - Love's Crazy

With rap goin back to being ass again.. with the dissapointment that Kanye is giving us with this autotune BS and Lil Waynes Dedication 3 being a big dissappointment for most of us.. and all the other BS up and downs rap is puttin us through, the only thing consistantly good to me is RnB and im a self-proclaimed "RnB-ass-nigga" so I have been waiting on Slims debut album to leak out.. 112 is was and still is one of my favorite RnB groups and Slims unique voice sang the hell out of a lot of the song that we still love of theirs to this day.. .so my expectations are high on this one... With that being said.. I had to give you my review...

1 Intro - Psalm
This is just Slim sayin some scriptures from the Bible.. I guess he had to get all the religion out the way on the 1st song.. aint really expecting much more of that on here..

2 She Got That
The vibe on this on and the way the cd starts off reminds me of how Trey Songz Cd and Keyshia Coles Cd started.. DROPPIN!!! with a banging ass beat to start off the tempo.. You know Slim from ATL.. and this beat def couldda been a rap beat.. it come in hard to me.. I liked it.. I listened to it a coupla times the 1st time i heard it.. I could def mix this one..

3 Good Lovin ft Ryan Leslie and Fabolous
The sound like a Ryan Leslie song.. whether u think thats good or bad, thats on u.. Im not a RL fan.. but i do like this song.. I heard this a few weeks ago.. and im glad they added FAB to it.. of course he spits on this.. he always does.. this is a pretty nice track.. i wouldnt say it would be a great single, but its a nice album track..

4 So Fly
We all know this song... to this day, it still gets me amped.. i have taken this as somewhat of a theme song.. bc of course i feel that im just this fly.. im glad they didnt use Shawty Lo for the album.. AEI IOU.. nigga please.. ive already blogged on that tho.. but ive had this song since April 21st.. i put it on a mix on the 24th.. and its been jumpin since.. we all love this..

5 Baby You Interlude
Just an interlude that introduces the next song with him and Faith

6 So Gone ft Faith Evans
I love Faiths voice.. i would want my wife to have a voice so strong but still so sweet.. the song is ok.. I want it to be so much better.. maybe ill like it more later after listenin more.. its not bad.. just not what I wanted it to be.. they couldve used more lyrics or thought into the chorus.. geez..

7 Sweet Baby
This song came on.. and I knew it already.. I scratched my head and went to my windows media player to see about it.. and dammit.. i downloaded this song on Oct 10th 2006... yeah.. more than 2 yrs ago.. but it was just the 1st verse and chorus.. and it didnt have that damn autotune in it.. i dont really like this that much.. sounds like an old rejected 112 song

8 Heels On ft Yung Berg
Thumbs down on this one.. it sound like a Yung Berg song.. not a Slim song.. maybe ima lil bias cuz i dont like dude.. but im just not feeling it.. it usually takes me a few listens to like songs like this... at first listen, i was itching to change the song.. i like slims verse.. i just dont like YB on here and I dont really like the chorus.. and who the hell is dude thats rappin at the end?????

9 Bedtime Stories
Now this right here is the shit i was lookin for.. this sound like an old 112 song that wouldda been everyones song.. Im def using this for a slow jam mix... please believe me... this song is sexy to me.. something you would whisper in the ear of a chick.. or slow dance to.. u just pull her closer to make sure she smell ur cologne and connect you to that scent the next time she smell it.. one of those.. i can see myself puttin this on repeat.. Just tellin you ladies, dont be around me and this song come on.. :) you know how i feel about BEDTIME anyways.. i got like 5 BEDTIME mixes..

10 U Got Me (Addicted)
The groove on this song is smooth as hell.. he a redeeming himself with these two songs.. Im sure we can all relate to this song about someone in their life.. its about being addicted to someone and the things they do.. Its a smooth, slow groove song.. I can just see someone driving in the rain, think of old loves and how hard it is to get over them.. i like this one.. prolly cuz i can relate..

11 Dont Say It
I knew a break up song had to be close.. I miss the whole 112 on this song.. I think q wouldda sounded good on this song.. Q usually brings more heart to the songs to me.. its still a pretty good song.. just seems like its missing something.. either in the beat or the singing.. but I dont think this song should be skipped.. its nice..

12 Leave U Alone
I dont really liek the fast pace, NeYo & Akon sounding RnB songs.. and thats what this is.. i understand the song.. and it just couldda been done in a differnet way.. this kinda sucks to me.. it sounds like a boy band song.. like backstreet boys.. or NSYNC.. im so cool on this.. i def skipped this one..

13 More (interlude)
This is someone playin the guitar and Slim singing along with it.. sound like some Unplugged type stuff.. sounds nice.. shows the rawness of his voice.. its nice.. couldda been a full lenght song..

14 Apologize
I knew this type of song was gonna have to be on here too.. he hits all areas pretty good on this cd.. its a pretty nice song.. the neats nice.. he sound nice.. gurls would love to hear their baby daddies to play this for them on their voice mails... do people even do that anymore?? ::shruggs:: but u get the point..

15 Love's Crazy
This is the fast paced RnB that I do like.. it seems like a song he prolly got some dance moves to.. it sound like Lloyds fast paced songs.. i like this.. the chorus is pretty cool too.. and then my nigga Big Boi hops on it.. and rips it.. made me like the song even more..

Over all I would give it a 3.75 outta 5 on a first listen.. I would def go back to some songs anf replay them.. I would def recommend that u listen for yourself

on the Cd of this that Im burning for myself.. Im addina few songs that I thought wouldda made it to the album that didnt, so i suggest you find these and play them too if you are a fan..

So Fly Remix ft Faith & Big Boi
Im guess they hopped on this bc they were on the cd.. but this si still a hot song.. it givesd the song more life.. with all new verses.. the beat is still jumpin to me..

U Won (or U Want?) ft Gucci Mane
Its labled as U Want.. but that dont make since.. Anyways.. this is Gucci and Slim rappin and singing over "Down For My Niggas" beat... yeah.. really.. its not too bad.. I like it.. i could see how some people might not.. but its my shit..


Daddys Lil Girl ft 8Ball
This is my shit too.. im salty this aint make the cd.. the beat is jumpin.. just like some ol good down south shit.. him and 8Ball ride the beat (pause) good... im sure this might appear somewhere.. either on a soundtrack or something..
